A Message From Alex June 2024

Grad Season and Summer Fever

At the end of May, I attended my son Arlo’s Kindergarten ’Graduation’! His older sister Tillie just finished 2nd grade, no ceremony required. She’ll have to wait until 5th grade for such an event. That’s how things seem to be these days. I’m sure plenty of you had graduations for your children, grandchildren, and even great-grandchildren! Even if it was just a ‘preschool’ graduation, you can always make another school year finished a celebration!
If you’re attending any graduation parties, make sure to stop by our newly updated card and gift section—we’ve got 3 new card lines and plenty of fun gifts for grads of any age! We’ve also got a limited selection of NNHS and NCHS merchandise perfect for the latest high school graduate in your family.

If you’re traveling and visiting any old friends who used to live in Naperville or have friends in town visiting, we’ve also dramatically expanded our selection of Naperville souvenirs over the last year. Our broad offerings include playing cards, coasters, notebooks, magnets, stickers, keychains, art prints, and much more!

Summer in Naperville

We kicked off June with the Naperville Park District’s Kite Festival on Sunday, June 2nd. While it was a great turnout, with the sun shining all day, what we lacked was good wind! You can see the picture of Arlo disappointed by our kite not taking flight. We got close—but never quite made it. We’ve also got two Children’s Lunch Hour events we’ll be participating in with the Park District on June 18th and 25th. Find more details at www.napervilleparks.org.

On Saturday 6/15, we’re having our Spring Health Screening Fair from 10am-12pm with our friends from Midwestern University Pharmacy School. They will offer free blood pressure readings, blood sugar, A1C, and pulse/ox testing. Our Pharmacy Technician and Marketer, Nancy (pictured to the right) will be giving away Oswald’s goodies, raffling off a gift basket, and discussing our pharmacy services. Don’t forget to bring in any expired medications for our safe drug disposal bin service. (no liquids, needles, ointments, or creams) we look forward to seeing you there! You can RSVP and find more information on our Facebook page at facebook.com/oswaldspharmacy.

Sidewalk Sale 2024

We’ve already been sorting through old merchandise in preparation of our annual Sidewalk Sale! It will mirror most of Downtown Naperville’s Sidewalk Sale, though not on Thursday. Ours will be Friday, July 12th-Sunday July 14th. We’ll have tons of great deals out front of the store all weekend long. This is a perfect time to get gifts, toys, puzzles, and games at our lowest prices of the year! I hope you and your family have a great month of June and I look forward to seeing you around the pharmacy. ꝶ
