We had a great Sidewalk Sale this past July, I hope you were able to stop by. If not, we still have plenty of deeply discounted merchandise located in the back of the store by the pharmacy. With all of those sales, we’re making room for our autumn and holiday merchandise. Outside of the pharmacy, I’m getting the kids ready to go to school at the end of the month—I can hardly believe it’s already August!
Oswald’s Medical in Geneva
While I’ve been working overtime to get the new medical equipment store in Geneva up and running, when I find time off I’ve been tending to our garden with the help of my daughter Tillie. Though she often eats more than makes it in the basket! Fresh tomatoes are her favorite. With all of the smoggy hot days we had in July thanks to the wildfires in Canada, and heatwaves across the country, I’m looking forward to the fall ‘harvest’ and cooler days ahead. Our backyard chickens are too—all 10 of them!
Around the store we put up everyone’s favorite thing to see in July: Christmas ornaments! Okay, maybe not everyone’s favorite, it’s more of a love/hate response, but if you’re a fan of the unique hand-painted Old World Christmas line, it’s the best time of year to stock up! We even brought in their new line of “gumdrop” ornaments. These are miniature versions of their best sellers for smaller decorative trees around the house.
Toys for Summer
For those looking for some indoor fun, if we get any more muggy days in August, we got the brand new August LEGO releases including some new Star Wars, Sonic, and Batman-themed sets. We also received some new family/party games from our favorite UK vendor, Pikkii. Including a fun Emoji based game for any obsessive texters/emoji-users in your family.
If you need any last-minute school supplies, we’re discounting our current stock by 50% in August. While we’re not a destination for school supplies the way we used to be, we’ve still got your go-to items available at a great price, along with some unique finds to make back-to-school a little more fun.
