At the end of June, our pharmacy leadership team had the privilege of attending McKesson Ideashare held at Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas. Mckesson Corporation is a major healthcare company that provides various services and products to the healthcare industry. They are involved in pharmaceutical distribution, medical supplies, technology solutions, and more. McKesson Ideashare is a nationwide community pharmacy event that empowers current and future independent pharmacists to foster deeper connections, discover ways to innovate and thrive, and strengthen their collective voice.

The convention was a 3-day event filled with pharmacy-related courses, discussions, and workshops on current and relevant health topics as well as upcoming changes to expect in the pharmacy distribution world. Some topics included covid booster vaccines, diabetes management, improving cash flow for your independent pharmacy, functional medicine, management of depression, and so much more. There was also a daily tradeshow with many booths set up by pharmacy-related companies and secondary suppliers. Walking around and gaining insight into all the things pharmacy had to offer was truly inspiring and amazing to see what people have come up with to make pharmacy life better and easier for both the pharmacist and their patients.
The Oswald’s Pharmacy team looks forward to using all the knowledge and inspiration from this experience to improve our patient care and business.
