On the last Saturday of August, we closed 2 hours early to have our first all-store party since 2019! I wonder why? My dad, fifth-generation owner Bill, cooked burgers and brats from Casey’s, and we had a custom cake made by our pharmacist Joanna’s Mom!

OTC Hearing Aids
With the recent FDA announcement that hearing aids will soon be sold over the counter, we’ve partnered with the oldest custom hearing aid manufacturer in the United States, RxEars (Persona Medical). In the coming weeks, we’re going to have a kiosk where customers can take a hearing test, and if necessary purchase OTC hearing aids without a prescription or trip to the audiologist!
We’ll be offering four different styles of RxEars’ most popular designs. Two of them even feature Bluetooth connectivity. You can use your smartphone to control the settings with ease! There are also devices that you don’t have pair with a smartphone and can be adjusted on the device itself.
Free At-Home COVID-19 Testing
Lately, we’ve also been helping customers receive ‘free’ ($0.00 copay) at-home COVID-19 tests. As the free at-home test program from the government will be suspended on 9/2/2022 you can continue receiving ‘free’ tests—through your insurance, Medicare included. 8 tests per person, per plan, per month. Not too bad!
Lastly, we’ve partnered with Reliant Healthcare to offer hassle-free $49 telehealth appointments. No insurance or appointment needed, HSA & FSA accepted, and available 24/7. If a prescription is needed it will be promptly filled by Ozzie’s. Imagine next time you’re sick not even leaving home for a quick ‘telehealth’ visit and a prescription delivered to your door by Oswald’s!
