A Message from Alex July 2021

According to a recent Washington Post article, “American workers have decided it’s time for a change — a decision at least partly brought on by a more than year-long pandemic that shifted the way many understood the norms of work life.” This statement holds true, even at our family-run pharmacy.

Oswald’s Welcomes New Medical Equipment Team Members

We are so happy to welcome new team members to the Ozzie family! Please join me in welcoming Kane and Alexis, who will become familiar faces in our Durable Medical Equipment Department, to the Ozzie’s team! They are ready to take on the continued practice of providing top-notch service for our community’s medical equipment & healthcare needs.

Kane’s experience in customer service and leadership make him a wonderful fit for the team. Alexis comes to us with vast customer service & management experience. Both are excited to hop on board and learn all things medical equipment! Stop by and say hello to Kane and Alexis.

New Pharmacist at Oswald’s Pharmacy

In our pharmacy, we welcome our new full-time pharmacist, Falak! She is a recent graduate of Midwestern University in neighboring Downers Grove. She previously worked at Walmart as a pharmacy intern and her rotations in pharmacy school took her everywhere from hospital pharmacies to clinical settings. She fit right in at Ozzie’s and even helped with our homebound vaccination program last month. Don’t forget to say ‘hi’ next time you are picking up a prescription!

New Retail Team Members & Changes

We also added three new employees to our retail team. You might see them at a register or delivering your next prescription! Jacquelyn grew up close to the pharmacy and knows it well. She’s a current NCHS student and excited for her first job. (Fun fact: her twin sister just got a job at Casey’s!). Lauren, a current North Central College student, joined the team last month and can be seen helping at our front register or the post office. Bill joined our prescription delivery team as a part-time job in retirement. If he’s not delivering a prescription, you may see him helping out on the floor. Please say “Hello” to our new team members next time you drop by!

With great new additions, we also have current team members who are making some changes and moving on to new adventures! Alecia is moving on after over 16 years with us. We will certainly miss her “can-do” attitude and crafty know-how! Kathleen has been with us for 5 years and has always stepped up when we needed it most. Hannah, who was with us for 4 years, has moved on to a new pharmacy position. Please join me as we wish our best to Alecia, Kathleen, and Hannah as they pursue these new, exciting opportunities.

Transfer Your Prescriptions to Naperville’s Most Trusted Pharmacy

While I’m what you call “a lifer” in the business (as the 6th generation owner, how could I not be?!) I also know that change is constant—without it, new opportunities don’t exist. Speaking of change, perhaps you’re thinking about changing where you get your prescriptions filled. Now is the perfect time to become an Oswald’s prescription customer! Reach out to me, I’d love to personally welcome you. Say hello in the store or email me at alex@oswaldspharmacy.com

I remain grateful to everyone who works for my family business, both past and present. It is because of our team members, that Oswald’s Pharmacy continues to be a wonderful place to fill a prescription, pick up a greeting card, find that unique gift item, or receive quality care in our medical equipment department. From the bottom of my heart, I thank our past, present and future staff. I also thank you, our customers. We wouldn’t be here without any of you. ℞
