Looking for a Toy Store in Naperville? Check Out the Huge Toy Selection at Oswald’s

Local toy stores can be hard to find. Most people switched to ordering toys for kids from online mega-retailers. But there are some of us who still like to kick the proverbial tires before we buy something, even a toy. Naperville is a pretty modern city, so you may think it would be hard to find a toy store.

It’s not hard to find a toy store in Naperville–Oswald’s is right in the center of town. Located a quarter-mile south of Edward-Elmhurst hospital, right next to Trader Joe’s and Casey’s Foods, there’s a good chance you drive by us every day.

Our toy selection doesn’t feature the toys you see on YouTube ads or on the sidebar of your favorite news website. We have curated our selection to primarily feature educational, traditional, and eco-friendly toys. If you need a cool last-minute birthday gift that no one else has bought, you need to stop by and check out the Oswald’s toy store section.

Outset Media Trivia

A Decade of 90s Trivia game, by Outset Media. Image of the card box.

All of the trivia card games from Outset Media feature colorful art and images of the topics each set features. The most popular lines we have in-store right now aren’t even made for kids. It’s trivia games for adults. That’s right, 80s & 90s trivia card games are in-style! Test your history, sports, pop-culture, music, movie, and TV trivia muscle with these great collections.

Skullduggery Marble Racers

Skullduggery Pull Back Marble Racers. Image of the box, showing a Marble Racer on a race track.

Here’s a new toy we got in that is unlike anything else. Skullduggery Marble Racers are toy race cars powered by marbles. The idea was to take two classic toy staples, marbles & cars, and combine them into one package. Kids can customize their toy race cars any way they want with stickers, paints, and decals. Racetracks are available but not required… these cars can race on most floors!

Papo Figurines

Papo Griffin Knight figurine. A plastic knight figurine with a sword and shield.

Papo figurines have been one of our most popular toy lines for well over a decade now. Something about these fantasy-themed plastic figures seems to trigger the imagination of every child that sees them. Kings, Princesses, warriors, knights, pirates, ninjas, skeletons–you name the traditional character template and Papo has probably made a figure.

The Papo figurines are made of plastic with no moving parts. A small number of the figurines have detachable accessories. The static nature of figurines is why kids love them: they have to use their imagination to create the stories behind their favorite figures. Papo figurines are a great way to jumpstart your child’s imagination.

Little Kids Fubbles

Fubbles Bubble Bucket. Image of the Fubbles bucket with 3 wands inside.

With spring just around the corner, we wanted to feature a seasonal toy that is perfect for the outdoors. Little Kids Fubbles are bubbles done right. “What are bubbles done right?” you ask. A no-spill container with multiple wands so the kids don’t have to fight over one wand. Fubbles remove potential messes and fights from the pure joy that should be the only thing associated with blowing bubbles.

White Mountain Puzzles

White Mountain The New Millennium 1000pc Puzzle. Box shown.

Puzzles are a great activity for all ages. What makes White Mountain puzzles stand apart is their hand-painted, pop-culture imagery. Puzzles with themes like the 80s, the Millennium, and Classic Movies feature collages with images kids and adults alike will recognize.

White Mountain Puzzles are a great activity for the whole family on a rainy day. With spring almost here we’re bound for a few rainy days. Stop by the toy section at Oswald’s and find a puzzle for your family.
