Oswald’s: Naperville’s Best Gift Shop

Posted on: March 14th, 2021 by Oswald's Pharmacy Team

Naperville has grown to be the third largest city in Illinois, yet it still seems hard to find Naperville-specific gift items. It’s time to get the word out to the over 150,000 residents that Oswald’s has the best extensive Naperville gift selection. Our Naperville gift selection has turned us into Naperville’s premier Gift Shop. We have been curating unique, Naperville-specific gift items for over 145 years now.

From gifts and art created by local artists to Naperville high school team gear and everything in between, the gift shop at Oswald’s has it all. We wanted to post a blog about all the Naperville gift items we have in-store and share some of the specific ones, just to give our online audience an idea of what’s in-store.

Without further ado…

Naperville Postcards

Let’s start with one of the most obvious Naperville gift items we carry: postcards! It’s amazing how many calls we get looking for Naperville (not Chicago) postcards simply because we’re an old Naperville business. Those callers are always delighted to hear we have a great selection in-store.

Naperville postcard images include scenic imagery from the Riverwalk, Naper Settlement, Downtown Naperville, North Central College, and many more. The postcard styles have photographs, collages, prints with text, and four-way photo splits. Dozens of different styles are available in-store.

Oswald’s has been carrying a huge variety of Naperville art produced by local artist Marianne Lisson Kuhn for years now. The prints and paintings feature Naperville landmarks like Sts. Peter & Paul Church, Old Main at North Central College, and the Martin-Mitchell Mansion at Naper Settlement.

Marianne’s work includes colorful paintings and black & white prints. She sends us new art all the time, so there are always new pieces to check out. Stop by the store today and browse our large selection.

Sunset Hill makes handcrafted stoneware produced right next door in Wisconsin. Sunset Hill also produces custom mugs and other stoneware for local businesses. When our gift buyers saw the quality and learned that even the custom mugs were handcrafted, they ordered them for the gift section immediately.

The gift selection at Oswald’s has featured custom Sunset Hill stoneware for years now. The styles, colors, and glazes are constantly changing, keeping the line fresh month after month. If you are looking for some beautiful Naperville stoneware, you’ve found it!

Well Told Naperville Glasses

A relatively new addition to Oswald’s Naperville gift selection, Well Told glasses are a unique gift item. Unique how? The Well Told glasses feature sections of maps from Naperville! The white street lines give the glasses a contemporary look that will fit in anyone’s cupboard.

It’s not that time yet, but we carry Naperville Ornaments year-round. The styles of Naperville ornaments at Oswald’s features traditional glass, painted/glazed ceramic, and glass prints. For the pictures, we wanted to feature two of our favorite styles in this blog.

The Naperville Riverwalk ornaments we carry feature different landmarks from the Riverwalk painted on ceramic circles. The other ornament style is a traditional glass ornament styled to look just like the Naperville Trolley.
