About My Dad
I am sorry to report that my Dad had emergency surgery at Edward Hospital last month. After ten days in the hospital and a week convalescing at the Springs he is now back home and thankfully doing very well. At times of crisis it is so great to have family close by and ready to help. My folks are lucky to have their kids all close by. And on top of that two of those kids were smart enough to marry someone in the healthcare field. Brother Tres’s wife Anne is a hospital pharmacist and Pete’s wife Jamie is a nurse. Their help negotiating the sudden hospitalization and subsequent release of Dad was immeasurable. Oswald’s medical equipment department, along with my son Wil and nephew Jerry’s expertise made sure Dads arrival home was as comfortable as we could make it. It’s awfully nice to have a resource like Ozzie’s Medical when life throws you a curveball.
Our Medical Equipment Section
If you haven’t stopped in to our medical equipment side recently, you would be amazed at some of the new additions. We have the brand new Golden Twilight power recliner. It is based on our best-selling Cloud chair with a new zero gravity feature. Try it out next time you’re in! We have also added the Strongback lightweight wheelchair line, the Oxy Go – a portable, battery operated oxygen concentrator and Nova’s latest rollator introduction – the Star 8. It is our first rollator that features an adjustable seat height as well as the traditional adjustable handles. We also have added CPAP supplies including travel CPAP machines and the SoClean sanitizing unit. Another unique item is the new In Motion Pro crutch line. These crutches feature ergonomic handles and spring-loaded tips that aid in the walking motion (almost like the pogo sticks of my youth)! We also have stocked up on Golden’s latest scooters and power wheelchairs just in time to get out and enjoy the warm weather now that it has finally arrived!
Happy Father’s Day!
As we approach another Father’s Day I am reminded of the mantra that I heard my parents and grandparents say so many times – “Where have all the years gone?”. It doesn’t seem long ago that Nicki and I became parents and now one of our children will be celebrating his second Father’s Day
