Don't Forget to Vote!

Spring is finally here and with it tulips and daffodils are popping up around town. One other thing that has been popping up over the last month or so are election signs. Election day is Tuesday April 7th. Being a local election usually means extremely low turnouts and significant voter apathy. It is my hope that Naperville residents will prove that to be wrong! This election is probably one of the most important our town has seen. Not only will we select a replacement for longstanding Mayor Pradel, we are selecting the entire council also. There are three seats up for election on the College of DuPage board also. With all the crazy things that keep coming up about COD it seems it’s time to get some new people on board over there.

Please find out all you can on the candidates running, make your choices and get out and vote! Encourage your friends and neighbors to do the same. The people we elect on the 7th are the ones who spend an awful lot of our hard earned tax dollars!

And don’t forget the Plaza will be having our third annual Girls on Gartner celebration on May 6th. This one should be extra special as we continue to celebrate our 140th anniversary. Make sure to sign up for our Girls on Gartner raffle – Grand prize is a $500 Oswald’s Gift Card! Second prize is a $200 Oswald’s gift basket filled with fun stuff! Many other prizes as well.
