By now I am sure many of you have heard that my wife, Nicki, has taken on a new job. On February 3rd she will become the President and CEO of the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce.
After 20 years in the fitness industry as a business owner, columnist and lecturer she decided the time was right to move on to something new. Her deep ties to our community and her business experience made her a great choice to take the helm of the Chamber.
The Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce is the largest suburban Chamber in Illinois with over 1,400 members and organizations of every size and from every sector. The Chamber’s membership participates in more than 400 briefings, committee gatherings, events, and programs annually. The Chamber has been recognized with a 5-Star Accreditation from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, an honor bestowed on only 79 Chambers out of nearly 7,000 nationwide.
Oswald’s is proud to have been a lifelong member of the Chamber (at only 101, the Chamber is 38 years younger than Ozzies!). I have experienced the growth of the Chamber over the last forty years, from a small office above the old Rosebud building to its new offices in Main Street Promenade. It is an integral part of what makes Naperville such a great town to live in.
Congratulations to you, Nicki! Your talent and determination will be perfect for the Chamber and Naperville!
