Vaccine Update – March 16th 2021

I hope everyone is doing well and staying safe! Yesterday we sent out an email to our current COVID-19 vaccine Email List (sign up for that here) about some openings at the DuPage County Fairgrounds. We learned about that opportunity through our discussions with the DuPage County Health Department (DCHD).

Through our conversations with DCHD employees over the past two weeks, we’re hopeful we’ll be receiving the COVID-19 vaccine in the near future. Over the past two weeks we’ve been included on their weekly ‘survey’ email – more or less an order request for the vaccine. We were unfortunately not allocated any this week, but will try again next week! If and when we receive the COVID vaccine from DCHD, we’ll be sending out an email on a Wednesday or Thursday with a link for people to sign up. So, if you’re not on the vaccine email list, make sure to sign up here!

Naperville COVID-19 Vaccine Updates

Currently there are about 8 communities in DuPage county who are under-vaccinated. The Naperville/Lisle area is right on track, another reason it may be a few more weeks until we get the COVID-19 vaccine at the Oswald’s. Once we enter Phase 2 (more or less the vaccine opening up to the adult community at large) our partnership with the federal government will kick in. We’re doing everything we can to get our pharmacy vaccine allocation as soon as possible. Keep in touch and we’ll let you know as soon as we hear anything!

What if you’ve already received the vaccine? Even if you’ve received it, but know others you can help, feel free to sign up for the email list. Due to the thousands of interested parties we can’t call customers individually. That’s why it’s important to keep a close eye on your inbox. If we receive the COVID vaccine next week or the following week, it will still only be for groups 1a and 1b (Phase I 65+). Group 1b phase II (those under 65 with comorbid conditions) will hopefully be approved for the COVID-19 vaccine in Illinois soon. Learn more about the group phases on our vaccine page: https://oswaldspharmacy.com/covid-19-vaccine/.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to us at info@oswaldspharmacy.com and make sure to follow us on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter. Have a great day!

*Please do not call the pharmacy with any additional questions. We do not know when we will receive the vaccine. We will send an email out when we receive any. If you’re a senior in need of an appointment, please reach out to the Naperville vaccine buddies for scheduling assistance. Email info@oswaldspharmacy.com with any additional questions.
