Featured Product: Nova Phoenix Rise UP Rollator

The Nova Phoenix Rise UP Rollator is the newest rolling walker from Nova. This rollator is specifically designed to help those with dexterity issues that affect the whole body—not just balance and leg issues. Even the name—Phoenix—relates to rising and moving forward.

We recently got our hands on the new Nova Phoenix Rolling Walker. We liked the Phoenix so much we decided to make it our featured product for October 2020. Let’s start by going over the features.

Nova Phoenix Rise UP Rollator Features

Adjustable Platform Armrests & Handles

This is the feature that defines the Nova Phoenix rollator. The easy-to-adjust platform arms give users stability without sacrificing posture. The handles can be adjusted and rotated, allowing the user to pick the most comfortable configuration. There is padding on the armrests that is comfortable without giving too much cushioning (so your arms don’t sink in). The adjustable armrests also have a stabilization strap to help secure the armrests and handles.

Of course, the Phoenix also features Nova’s patented Feather Touch Brake System. These brakes are easy to press and features a simple locking system. Simply push the opposite way on the handbrakes until you hear a click. That’s it!

Folding Seat with Storage Pouch

The seat on the Nova Phoenix can be easily folded without the need to push on the frame. Need more room for storage? Fold the seat and the Phoenix now measures just 12″ wide! The seat is set over a 15”x9”x10” storage pouch with a zipper closure.

Seat Handles & Foot Pedals

If you need a rolling walker that is easy to get out of, the Nova Phoenix has a feature that will help—seat handles. Seat handles give a user leverage to help push them out of the rollator seat. Located on the outside of the rollator seat, the handles don’t get in the way but are easy to reach.

The foot pedals on the Nova Phoenix are also located on the outside of the rollator frame so they don’t get in the way. These foot pedals aren’t just extra weight—users can put some extra weight on them to help get over curbs and uneven terrain.

Solid Frame & Big Wheels

Walkers and Rollators are only as strong as their frames and the Phoenix packs a good one. Rated to hold 300 lbs., the Nova Phoenix rollator weighs only 20.5 lbs. itself. The frame folds up and can be carried by a handle built into the seat.

The wheels on the Phoenix are nice. 10” in the front, 8” in the rear, these wheels will help users get through any rough terrain hassle-free. Larger wheels grant better stability and it’s frankly amazing that the Phoenix has wheels this big and still clocks in at just 20.5 lbs.

Is the Nova Phoenix Rise UP Rollator for You?

So, you’ve read the details above but still aren’t sure if the Phoenix is the rollator you’re looking for. Here are a few issues the Phoenix was built to help with:

  • Balance issues
  • Walking & gait problems (the room from the folding seat is great for these issues)
  • Balance & dexterity issues due to Parkinson’s (talk to your doctor)
  • Rehabilitation (talk to your doctor)
  • Those looking for a heavy-duty rollator that is easy to travel with
  • Those looking for a rollator that ‘does it all.’ The Phoenix has a lot of features!

Remember to talk to your doctor before using the Phoenix due to any serious conditions. The Phoenix can be a huge help to people, but your doctor still knows best!

The Nova Phoenix Rollator at Oswald’s

We have the Nova Phoenix Rise UP Rollator in-stock and ready to test. This is a walker you will want to try out before purchasing. The Phoenix is akin to an upright rollator (like the UPWalker), so it feels a bit different from traditional rollators. We definitely encourage you to come in and test the Phoenix before you make any decisions.

Our Medical Equipment Showroom is open 7 days a week. Stop by any time and speak to one of our certified medical equipment team members to get started with the Phoenix. If you have any questions please give us a call or send us an email.
